The Tattie Shop (also known as Tatties & Point) is a take away food shop on Commercial Street which sells baked tatties, ice cream, freshly baked pizzas, burgers, pies, Rollover Hot Dogs, filled rolls and baguettes. Built on the site of 'The Roost' which was demolished in 1888 (the original street was only 9 feet wide at this point). In Shetland Museum there is a photograph of the premises during the herring fishing boom, and at that time it was one of several chocolate shops in the town. In the 1930s the premises was Tulloch's knitwear and bric-a-brac store. The original Tatties and Point business was located at the Market Cross.
